Hi, I’m Sophia, the Audiovisual Content Coordinator at SCL Student Bytes.

Who I am

I’m a final year Law LLB student at Bristol University and will be graduating in 2021. My legal education thus far has compelled me to challenge and question current opinions of legal scholars and authorities in a time of rapidly changing social evolution under the guidance of academic scholars who push me to develop my legal thinking even further. Following a legal internship last Summer with a Family law firm and multiple mini-pupillages with commercial chambers I soon realised that I had a passion for IP and technology law.

Recently, I have enjoyed acting as ambassador to SCL and IJM UK, where I am an advocate for the global mission to end slavery by arranging and speaking at corporate and political events. In my second year, having developed an interest in commercial law and technology, I volunteered at the Bristol Law Conference on AI and Privacy where I gained a deeper insight and awareness into legal tech and the intersection of law and technology. I became President of the Conferencethis year, and am currently organising next year’s event which will take place virtually.

Growing up in the vibrant city of multicultural London as a British born Asian, fluent in Spanish and French, being at the heart of the latest commercial and tech development and innovation I hope to provide a fresh perspective in my content for SCL Student Bytes.

What I do
